Before getting started, Breda had put on some extra weight and wasn’t feeling particularly comfortable in herself.
She knew she wanted to make a change, but like many people, she worried about whether she’d actually be able to stick with it.
Would she be able to commit? And even if she did, would she eventually get bored and stop going?
Thankfully, her experience from the very first class was completely different.
The Challenge
Breda wanted to feel healthier and more comfortable in herself again.
The challenge wasn’t simply starting to exercise — it was finding something she could make part of her life for the long term.
She was concerned that she might struggle to commit to regular training or lose interest after the initial motivation wore off.
She needed something she could enjoy and, importantly, keep doing consistently.
Why She Nearly Didn't Start
One of Breda’s biggest worries was whether she would stick with it.
She didn’t want to start another fitness routine only to get bored and give up.
There was also the challenge of getting comfortable with strength training and using weights.
But from her very first class, those worries started to disappear.
“Right from the very first class, I felt very comfortable and got really good support and advice in regards to working with weights.”
The Turning Point
Feeling comfortable from day one made a huge difference for Breda.
Rather than being left to figure things out for herself, she received support and advice that helped her become more confident with weights and her training.
She also found herself surrounded by a friendly community.
Instead of getting bored or struggling to commit, exercise gradually became part of a regular routine — and those positive changes started carrying over into other areas of her life too.
The Results
Since getting started, Breda has made changes that go beyond simply exercising more:
Feels much more comfortable in herself
Feels healthier
Has established a consistent exercise routine
Has made positive changes to her diet
Feels more comfortable working with weights
Has found a friendly and supportive community
What started as a desire to feel better has developed into a healthier overall routine.
“I have got into a very good routine of exercise and diet.”
What Breda Loves About Training With Us
For Breda, one of the things that makes it easier to keep coming back is the people around her.
She describes her favourite part as:
“Very nice friendly community within the group.”
That friendly environment, combined with the support and advice she received from the beginning, has helped make exercise something she can continue rather than something she quickly gets bored with.
What This Means for You
If you’ve put on some extra weight, don’t feel quite as comfortable in yourself as you used to, or worry that you’ll never stick to a fitness routine, Breda’s experience shows what can happen when you find the right environment.
You don’t have to know how to use weights before you start.
And getting healthier doesn’t have to mean forcing yourself through workouts you hate.
With good support and a friendly community around you, you can build a routine that becomes a natural part of your life.
For Breda, that has meant regular exercise, positive changes to her diet and, most importantly, feeling healthier and more comfortable in herself.
